Hello friends, thank you a lot for warm welcome.
Well, I have a nice Mercedes W124 Diesel turbo, made in Germany for Japan, in 1993. It is a 6 in line. I am proud of it and always trying to improve it in any aspect.
A couple of days ago I took out air filter for replacing some old rubber hoses and found one below it, in very bad shape. I was close to change it for a new one, when suddenly realized it goes through a panel to under the turbo, ending in nothing at all. Please see the pictures:

This vacuum hose must play a role in the car. Is there any guru who knows about it?
How many of the forum members have a 300D Turbo W124? I learned that MB made a total of about 7000 from 1987 to 1993. Not many. There are very few here. Mine was imported by previous owner from Japan.
Look forward to any answer and comment. Look forward to hear of anyone having the same car.
Best,
Oldbeaver
